Logistics / sales person

Working in partnership with one of the UK's most innovative and proactive marine supply businesses we are recruiting a reliable, hardworking Logistics / sales person to work in the heart of Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position within a company that offers career progression, training opportunities and great pay (£24 ,000 - £30,000 DOE ) with a rewarding and with huge potentials.

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Friday hours between 8:30am - 5pm, early finish on a Friday

Start date / Duration

Logistic sales position will commence with immediate effect however, if you do have a notice period with a current employer, we will work around this. This is permanent position.

Job description

  • Are responsible for answering inbound calls and emails and actioning
  • Organizing, ordering and monitoring sales from marines and ferries, which could be paint, fridges, machines, tools, clothes - uniform, from tea and coffee. So a willingness to learn all and understand is a MUST
  • Conducting individualised conversations to find helpful solutions
  • Conduct sales calls
  • Utilise opportunities to upgrade business
  • Will be responsible for arranging of own sales from start to finish, picking sale up, ordering investigating the product and matching to closest out come, prepare shipping
  • Any other admin duties as necessary

The successful candidate:

  • You will ideally have previous experience working in a sales, logistics or fleet services of at least 3 years
  • Customer service or sales experience is essential
  • You will have great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be comfortable working under own initiative with little supervision
  • Be confident and determined to achieve targets and KPIs
  • Possess good IT skills including Microsoft office packages
  • Committed, team player with a keen eye for quality
  • Must be driven and want to learn about the different areas of business
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
