We are currently seeking a dedicated Field-Based Forklift Service and Repairs Engineer to join a leading provider of material handling equipment and solutions in Hull, East Yorkshire. As a key member of the service team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring clients' forklifts and industrial equipment remain operational through routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on forklifts and related industrial equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and building strong relationships.
  • Ensure equipment is in optimal working condition, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
  • Complete paperwork and reports for each service call and communicate any issues or recommendations to the customer.
  • Work autonomously, managing your daily schedule and ensuring timely visits to customer sites.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in forklift servicing, repair, or maintenance (ideally 2+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of forklift mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
  • Full UK driving license and the ability to travel within the designated region.
  • Comfortable working in a field-based role, with a strong commitment to health and safety.
