Job Title: Maintenance Compliance Engineer Location: East YorkshireSalary: £48,750 per annumWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, Day ShiftsOur client a leading Food Manufacturing business are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Engineering supervisor to join their team and work as a Technical Compliance Engineer. This is a key role for the business and will be working closely with the Engineering Mgr and Snr Mgt team. The role offers an ideal step for someone wanting to get off the tools and take a step into more of a Management and Supervisory position. This position offers huge variety, responsibility, ownership, budget control and the chance to make a real difference.  Salary and Benefits

  Job Purpose The job holder is responsible for site compliance against engineering standards & external legislation. The holder will be site responsible in driving remedials following internal /external audits to ensure compliance.  Day to day support of the engineering department will also be required where production operations are hindered.  
  • To carry out Mechanical Maintenance / Electrical Maintenance / Installation / Modifications to site-based Assets to the designed specification
  • Proactive line support when required, with potential to drop onto shift during periods of abnormal absence.
  • Contractor Control & Upkeep Of Approved Contractor System.
  • Breakdown cover during periods of high maintenance activities.
  • Raising Purchase Orders, receipting of goods and invoice queries.
  • Management & support to all customer-based Audits.
  • Management of the Five Life Savings Principle Audit and Actions ( LOTO, Confined Space, Working at Height, Electrical Works, Work Place Transport )
  • Managements and control of GMP, SHE, Fire Risk actions for all internal audits.
  • Project support through close working relationship with Project Engineer.
  • The completion of work records, reports and associated data to ensure effective channels of communication are maintained
  • Feed into the annual capital plan detailing site requirements and providing rough orders of magnitude.
 What We’re Looking For  
  • Minimum apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Background in a manufacturing/factory-based Maintenance environment, preferably within FMCG or Food whether that be in a hands on Engineer or supervisory capacity
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have experience of managing projects 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an Analytical mindset
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced highly regulated environment
  • Ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise tasks
  • Must have a good HSE appreciation
  • Ideally have some exposure to Contractor control
