Maintenance Engineer

Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company within the UK. The company in question are looking for a multiskilled maintenance engineer.

Job Role:

As a core member of the engineering team, you will be reporting directly to the engineering team leader, to minimise downtime and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensuring health & safety, quality, and cost-efficiency of the business operations.

Typical Duties will involve:

  • Ensures production priorities are understood in order that maintenance works are carried out enabling orders to be met.
  • Working closely with Maintenance Team Leader to ensure planning of engineering activities are fully supported.
  • RCA and detailed fault finding.
  • Maintenance of all plant equipment and PPM schedules.
  • Ensure company and statutory Health and Safety regulations are met at all times, including L.O.T.O system and C.O.S.H.H.
  • Competent with PLCs, HMIs, DCS, Instrument Calibrations, control valves

Desirable experience

  • A recognised time served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical (Essential)
  • Able to manage contractors
  • Food manufacturing maintenance
  • Experience of repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment in a controlled environment
  • Familiar with instrument calibrations, HMIs, PLCs, DCS and Scada fault finding.
  • Managing safe working practices
  • Electrical 17th /18th edition
  • Siemens experience
  • Yokagowa DCS experience
  • Chemical plant / process experienced
