About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of our mechanical systems and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery, while also supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and extend the life of machinery.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in production and facility equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and rotating machinery.
  • Equipment Inspection: Perform regular inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues and recommend solutions before they lead to equipment failure.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment specifications, and maintenance logs.
  • Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts, ensuring availability for timely repairs. Coordinate with procurement to order necessary components.
  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production teams to address mechanical issues and support operational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in and lead initiatives to improve equipment efficiency, reliability, and performance. Recommend modifications to enhance mechanical systems.
  • Training & Development: Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians and apprentices as needed.

Qualifications:.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, and pumps.
    • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
    • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety standards.
