Our client is seeking a talented Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued growth.    The role of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is a varied one, covering maintenance services across a wide range of plant and equipment within the distribution facility.  The company is a leading distribution provider in their field and are a long-standing well-known business based in Hull with a multi-site storage facility offering for their clients.  They operate a day shift Monday to Friday days, 8am to 4pm with an early finish on Friday. With a call out 1 in 3 weeks with remote access to the facility. Depending on circumstances, on call to site may be required along with liaising with 3rd party contractors.The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:
  • Maintain service and repair plant facility to minimise down time
  • Reactive and PPM duties. Electrical and Mechanical
  • Ensure faults, breakdowns or issues are logged and reported correctly
  • Carry out fault finding and repair of equipment and facilities
  • Promote risk assessments to ensure safe systems of working
  • Willingly take up opportunities for training in specialist plant and equipment
  • Seek out and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiencies, and cost effectiveness
  • Support and conduct regular inspections and testing
The Candidate:
  • A background in warehouse environments, ideally with good exposure to both mechanical and electrical applications within temperature-controlled environments
  • Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
  • Understanding of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Good experience of managing safety in your daily activities
  • Strong team working capabilities
  • Experience working with CMMS platforms
Qualifications and skills required
  • 17th/18th edition regulations
  • Understanding and knowledge of working with ammonia
  • Previous maintenance planning experience
  • CMMS systems knowledge
  • Able to deal with contractors and customers
