The role of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is a varied one, covering maintenance services across a wide range of plant and equipment within the distribution facility. The company is a leading distribution provider in their field and are a long-standing well-known business based in Hull with a multi-site storage facility offering for their clients. They operate a day shift Monday to Friday days, 8am to 4pm with an early finish on Friday. With a call out 1 in 3 weeks with remote access to the facility. Depending on circumstances, on call to site may be required along with liaising with 3rd party contractors.The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:

Maintain service and repair plant facility to minimise down time
Reactive and PPM duties. Electrical and Mechanical
Ensure faults, breakdowns or issues are logged and reported correctly
Carry out fault finding and repair of equipment and facilities
Promote risk assessments to ensure safe systems of working
Willingly take up opportunities for training in specialist plant and equipment
Seek out and highlight opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiencies, and cost effectiveness
Support and conduct regular inspections and testing

The Candidate:

A background in warehouse environments, ideally with good exposure to both mechanical and electrical applications within temperature-controlled environments
Previous experience working as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Understanding of continuous improvement initiatives
Good experience of managing safety in your daily activities
Strong team working capabilities
Experience working with CMMS platforms

Qualifications and skills required

17th/18th edition regulations
Understanding and knowledge of working with ammonia
Previous maintenance planning experience
CMMS systems knowledge
Able to deal with contractors and customers
