BTEC Music Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time BTEC Level 3 Music Teacher to work at an excellent college in Hull, starting March 10th and lasting until June 6th 2025. This is a temporary opportunity to cover a period of sickness absence, so does have the potential to extend in the future. Working shifts for this position will be: Tuesday AM, Wednesday AM and a Thursday full day, so would suit a practitioner looking for a part time role or some flexibility. Planning and marking will be expected for this position, so payment will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, between £31,650 and £49,084, subject to pro rata.

This role will involve teaching BTEC Level 3 Music to Key Stage 5 students, and as such a subject specialist is necessary. Having experience teaching BTEC Level 3 Music is ideal for this role, but certainly not essential. You will be part of a small department that have planning in place that will simply need amending to the needs of the students in the classes. Class sizes are small, meaning more focus can be placed on learning and fostering a love of music.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from different parts of Hull via Bus, and has a large onsite car park for candidates who drive. The school is part of a small, local academy chain that has a large amount of resources available on file, meaning that the amount of planning needed for this role will be extremely minimal. With a fantastic reputation within the local area, this is a great opportunity to work with students who have chosen to learn this subject.
