Hull City Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.

Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes.

  • Responsible for the management and supervision of staff ranging from Occupational Therapy Assistant's or Technicians and OT's.Coordinate services and people in relation to adults presenting with multiple disadvantages.
  • To support families and carers to adjust to changing circumstances.
  • To oversee delivery of personalised non-intrusive and seamless proportionate and timely interventions. Contributes to team planning, effectiveness and responsiveness.
  • Supports team manager with improving practice and performance of individuals/team by providing day to day education and supervision.
  • Actively engages in practice development forums/meetings ensuring focussed and purposeful discussions lead to improved social work practice providing professional input as required.
  • As directed prepares and attends decision making forums including supporting co-workers with decisions relating to complex/high risk cases. Works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that people's outcomes are achieved e.g. facilitating joint reviews/assessments.

To Be Successful.

  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the community.
  • Previous experience working with major adaptations.
  • Manual handling experience
  • HCPC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Occupational Therapist Qualification
