If you are committed to maintaining high standards and ensuring a welcoming environment, apply now and join us in making a difference!As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • The Domestic Assistant should work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment is provided for patients, staff and visitors.
  • Regular removal of waste ensuring the correct use of bags and labelling procedures and ensuring that bags are disposed of in the correct waste bins in designated areas. Ensuring that clinical waste bags are secured with correct tape in accordance with hospital procedures and colour coding.
  • To use all chemicals/cleaning agents in a safe and economical manner and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. To only use chemicals which are supplied by the business
  • Undertake deep clean, clinical clean, admission and infection cleans as required by infection control procedure including removal, laundering, and hanging of curtains.
  • To report immediately to the Hotel Services Team Leader any defective machinery for further reporting to the Estates Department for repair.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • Educated to GCSE standard, including Maths and English.
  • Experience and knowledge of computer technologies.
  • Knowledge of National Standards of Cleanliness and understanding of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and visitors.
