Job Title - Part-Time Payroll Specialist

Location - Hull

Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist looking for a part-time opportunity?

Our client, a well-established company in Hull, is actively recruiting for a skilled individual to join their finance team as a Payroll Specialist.

This is a part-time role offering flexible working hours between 16-20 hours per week.

In this crucial position, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's payroll process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. You will work closely with the management team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies, and maintaining detailed payroll records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Handle payroll records and employee data in line with company policies and HMRC regulations.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees, management, and HMRC.
  • Reconcile, upload, and submit HMRC liabilities online (FPS, EPS, Year End, and other ad-hoc discrepancies/queries).
  • Ensure payment submissions are made on time as per HMRC's deadlines.
  • Assist with other payroll-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a payroll role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, HMRC regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Working Hours: 16-20 hours per week, negotiable.
