Seclusion Room Coordinator

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time seclusion room coordinator to work at a school in Hull, starting ASAP and lasting for the foreseeable future. This is a temporary position covering an open vacancy, and as such there is potential for the successful candidate to go permanent if they are enjoying the position and performing well within the role. Payment for this position will be between £120 and £180 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this role will be between 8:30 and 3:30.

This role will involve leading the seclusion room within a busy secondary school, and handling the necessary behaviour and wellbeing of the students within the room. This role requires a candidate who understands the complexity of challenging behaviour, and has strategies in place to deal work with students and keep them on task. Generally, you will be overseeing between 5 and 12 students per day, ensuring that they are on task and happy. This is an ever changing job, with students coming and going throughout the day, and a flexible practitioner that is able to work with students who display challenging behaviours. Experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit is ideal for this position, but any practitioner with experience working with SEND or challenging behaviours is ideal for this role.

This is a role that does not require QTS.

The school is part of a small, local academy trust, so success in this position will potentially lead to other opportunities in the future. There is a large onsite car park available for students who drive, and there is always ample space to park.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience teaching students with challenging behaviours
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
