SEND TA

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time SEND Teaching Assistant based in Hull, starting as soon as possible and lasting until at least February Half Term but potentially for longer. This is a temporary position to cover a period of absence, so the exact length of absence is difficult to determine. Payment for this position will be between £55 and £70 per morning. This is a part time position, working every day but only in the mornings from 8:30 - 12:20PM.

This role will involve working as a specialist teaching in their nurture department, working with high needs students who require a large amount of additional support. There are around 8 students in the unit, and there will be 6 teaching assistants (including the successful candidate), so almost on a 1:1 basis. These students have the potential to become deregulated and need a calming presence.

Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from different parts of Hull via Bus, and has a large onsite car park for candidates who drive. The school provides specialist support for SEND students and has an extremely strong ethos of providing the best care and support for their students. This school values their temporary staff extremely well, and treat staff like they are permanent, offering the same learning opportunities.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience teaching English to Key Stage 4
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

  • Legal right to work in the UK
