About the Role:
- Hull City Council is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join its Locality Team based in East Hull.
- This role is critical in providing long-term assessment and intervention to individuals requiring adult social care support, enabling them to achieve independence and meet their personal goals.
- As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting people with complex needs and providing expert interventions to enhance their quality of life.
- You will manage a varied caseload, including moving and handling, adaptations, and equipment provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex and multiple needs, including moving and handling, minor and major adaptations, and specialist equipment.
- Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments within integrated teams.
- Provide Occupational Therapy interventions and rehabilitation, tailoring support to individual needs.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapists, Preceptors, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Apprentices.
- Share expert technical advice and knowledge to support the multi-professional team.
Requirements:
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant experience in social care.
- A solid understanding of complex case management and interventions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong supervision skills and experience in supporting junior staff.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage a busy caseload.
Working Conditions:
- Workers will be required to complete at least 3 days working from the office base.
- A minimum of one full day per week on duty.
