Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time teaching assistant to work at an excellent and nurturing PRU in Hull, starting 2nd ASAP and lasting until at least October half term 2024, with the potential to increase in the future. This is a temporary position, and is cover for a vacant position, so there is potential for this to become permanent for the right candidate. Payment for this position will be between £90 and £100 per day depending on experience and qualifications. The school day is 8:10AM - 3:00PM

This role will involve working with one specific class, following them throughout the day as they complete their lessons and make progress. You will be responsible for aiding them with their work, but being a source of support to their emotional wellbeing. This role requires a resilient individual as often the behaviour of the students can initially be challenging, and you will have to be an expert in forging lasting and meaningful relationships.

Located in Hull, the school is easy to access from most areas of Hull on the bus and via bike. There is a large onsite car park that is free to use for candidates who do drive. The school has a fantastic reputation within the local community, and treats their temporary staff extremely well. You will be given a thorough induction to ensure that you are set up for success.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience working as a teaching assistant
  • Have experience working with vulnerable students or students with SEMH (ideal)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
