Remit :

A bespoke piece of machinery has been designed and installed. The aim of the equipment is to blend liquids in very precise ratios to achieve finished products. This is not being achieved. We are therefore looking for a Project Engineer to oversee testing of the equipment to understand exactly why the desired outcome(s) are not being achieved. At the moment, it is unclear as to whether the issues stem from the equipment itself, from the raw materials which are being processed, from the environment that the production sits in, or for some other reason.

You will be the connection between the OEM who designed and built the equipment and the raw material suppliers. You will investigate why the problems are arising, co-ordinate tests and production trials, assess results, recommend amendments, work with all suppliers to get to the bottom of exactly what the problem(s) are and then to recommend and implement solutions. Support will be available from the on-site production, maintenance and project teams.

About You :

  • Degree qualified in an engineering subject - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
  • Certified to at least Six Sigma Green belt
  • First class interpersonal skills
  • Excellent record keeping and documentation
  • Experience of manufacturing that includes processing and mixing liquids is beneficial
