We are seeking, on behalf of our esteemed client, a Glass Toughener to join their existing team. The Glass Toughener will be responsible for toughening the glass product using a machine. The ideal candidate will have experience working with glass.
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Marking out dimensions using patterns
- Marking out dimensions using patterns, scribing around the pattern or straight edge using cutting tools
- Smoothing out rough edges with a belt sander
- Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents
- Ability to follow the standard operating procedures in place to maintain safety and quality
- Maintain equipment.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and clean work area
- Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
- Physically fit (this does require medium to heavy manual labour)
