Pay Rate:
36,000 per year

Manpower is recruiting for an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a supervisory role in a fast-paced logistics environment with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after the initial contract period. The focus will be on leadership, relationship-building, and ensuring smooth operations at the Hull site.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Overseeing all deliveries from the SCS STARK Hull site, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (colleagues, external hauliers, agencies, and customers).
  • Managing transport administration using our systems and submitting reports related to finance, KPIs, claims, and health & safety.
  • Ensuring that resource levels align with operational requirements and customer needs.
  • Coordinating and supporting planning for customer deliveries, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Providing driver briefings and de-briefings, managing driver attendance and issues, and ensuring all drivers are compliant.
  • Promoting health & safety and compliance with company policies and procedures, including HR matters like disciplinary action and absence management.

What you need to succeed with our client:

  • Previous experience in transport or logistics is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle operational queries and make decisions independently.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams, including coordination with other SCS sites (Purfleet and Newport), when needed.
