Profile

Our client, is a specialist manufacturer of steel security doors.

They are looking for a self-measured, proactive, results orientated, and loyal individual to join the business as a Business Development ManagerA. The business turnover is 9 million with exciting plans to expand to 15 million.

If you have experience or a background working in security door industry or strong account management experience through sales and estimating looking for progression this could be for you.

Job Purpose

  • To account manage existing customers to develop strong relationships.
  • To proactively approach dormant customers to develop new orders and repeat business.
  • Reporting on accounts progress to management
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Face to face meetings with prospective and current clients
  • Following up on leads which you will generate
  • Prospecting and acquiring new business accounts
  • Research organisations and reach out to the appropriate person
  • Quoting for and winning orders
  • Attend industry trade shows and association meetings
  • Develop a good working knowledge of company's products

Essential Skills & qualification

  • Able to plan own schedule
  • Be able to work remotely and from own initiative
  • Experience within face-to-face sales
  • Experience with trade shows acting as the company representative
  • An ambitious, determined, self-starter
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and exceed targets
  • Willingness to learn about company products
  • UK driving licence & willing to travel throughout the UK
  • Experience of selling security doors is preferred but it is not essential.
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent computer skills, and experience with Excel and CRM software would be preferred.
