An exciting opportunity for any individual who is wanting a position at a fast growing but family business. Working in a small but growing local team, whilst also being part of a wider multi-site national company.

We expect any team member to portray our core ALERTT Values - Ambassador – Loyal – Enthusiastic – Reliable – Trustworthy – Team Player

This dual-aspect role is very fast paced and encompasses a number of different tasks, with no two days the same. Training will be provided on product and industry specifics, as well as comprehensive training and support in regards to our internal processes.

The basics of the role include dealing with both customers and prospective customers who visit our counter as well as via email and telephone, then providing them with information and quotations as requested. It also involves processing customer orders and coordinating the despatch of the same via either our own vehicles, with colleagues at another branch or via external courier. The other key aspect includes working with colleagues to ensure local stocks are well maintained to facilitate orders in a timely fashion and liaising with suppliers in regards to our own purchase orders.

The manual / warehouse aspect involves goods received and stock control, as well as arranging for goods to be picked and suitably packaged for despatch. This could be via our own vehicles, or via external courier whereby the goods will need to be either boxed or secured on pallets. In addition to this, the role also includes tinting (adding colour pigment to a base material) by operating our automatic dispensing machinery - comprehensive training will be provided.

Most days will consist of both aspects of the role.
