Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the companies financial records. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and balance sheets to maintain accuracy in financial records
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts efficiently, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
  • Credit Control: Assist in debt collection and invoicing
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the finance team
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support, fostering a collaborative working environment


Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Educational Background: AAT qualification (Minimum Level 3)
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Experience with accounting software
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analyse tools
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analise financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
