GSL Education is working in partnership with a reputable secondary school in Hull, to appoint a qualified Teacher of English. If you are an enthusiastic educator committed to fostering a love for science, we would love to hear from you. Teacher of English Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Key Stage 3 and GCSE English Language and Literature lessons, scaffolding lesson plans and schemes of work to meet the needs of all students.
- Inspire excellent attainment in English, by promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
- Encourage and support students' growth and development in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Foster and inspire students’ interest in English.
- Provider English Interventions as and when required, with specifically identified pupils.
Teacher of English Minimum Requirements:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Hold a Degree in English at 2:2 or higher.
- Be able to provide teaching references that cover the last 2 years of employment. Placements will be accepted for ECTs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one. GSL Education can offer DBS sponsorship for this position.
