As an English teacher, you will inspire students to explore literature and develop their writing skills. You will create engaging lessons that foster a love for reading and effective communication.
Responsibilities of the English Teacher:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons for Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
- Use creative teaching strategies to improve literacy and communication skills.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements of the English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- A degree in English or a relevant field.
- Experience preferred with Secondary Schools.
- Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply.
- DBS on the Update Service required.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt and cater to different learning styles.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
