GSL Education are working with a ‘Brilliant’ Secondary School in Hull to appoint a full-time Maths Teacher. The role is available to start as soon as possible or from January 2025. The school is a well-established and vibrant educational setting located in Hull, known for its supportive learning environment and dedication to student development.

Key Responsibilities as a Teacher of Maths:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Differentiate teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' enthusiasm for Mathematics.

As the ideal Teacher of Maths, you should have:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum of 6 months UK Maths teaching experience or be an Early Career Teacher.
  • A Degree in Maths or a related subject area.
  • Ability to differentiate and scaffold lesson plans to suit the needs of all students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
