Alecto Recruitment are representing a company that provides material handling solutions, in their search for a Service Manager, this includes equipment and services designed to move, store, or control materials and products throughout manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution processes. They offer a wide range of material handling equipment and powered access equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties
As the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the running of the depot.
You will manage the service, maintenance, and repair operations, ensuring that all equipment is ready and meets the highest safety standards.
You will also be responsible for leading a team of engineers and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused service delivery.
Responsibilities will also include ensuring that the branch remains well presented at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
- High standards, flexibility, and attention to detail
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in motor vehicle, HGV or heavy plant preferable
- Experience as Depot Manager, Team Lead, Fleet Manager, Operations Manager or Supervisor
- Sufficient length of time as a Forklift Engineer/Materials Handling Equipment Service Engineer will also be considered
