  • Plan all operational activities within area of control to meet customer requirements in full.
  • Ensure planning carried out in the most efficient and cost effective way to achieve optimum margin potential.
  • Ensure all necessary operational arrangements are in place for trial loads and sensitive requirements.
  • Ensure all fluctuations in volume are highlighted well in advance in order for them to be managed accordingly.
  • Ensure all operational issues (contaminations, wet-loads, spillages etc.) are dealt with appropriately, informing relevant parties immediately.
  • Monitor payloads to ensure targets are being met.
  • Understand haulier earning requirements to ensure mutual productivity.

The person:

  • Prior experience in road haulage planning is essential
  • CPC certificate (or willingness to work towards)
