Carbon60 is currently looking for a Stores Administrator to join a client of ours based on the AAK International site in Hull. This position is a 3 month temporary contract position.

Pay/Salary: 13.33/hour
Working Hours/Shift Pattern: 8.30 - till 5pm Monday - Thursday 45 mins break/day, Friday 8:00- 3pm, 30 min break. 37.5-hours/week.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Adhering to H&S policies and procedures on site
  • Stock management and ordering
  • Expediting and maintaining order books - checking upcoming orders, chasing delivery times
  • Ordering stock based on customer requirements
  • Raising purchase orders (PO's) on customers' behalf
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and stock movements company and customer systems
  • Contacting suppliers - replenishing stock by placing orders to purchase (Tends to be internal via warehouse)
  • Resolving purchasing and supplier invoice queries
  • Housekeeping stores and office area maintain 5s principles
  • Booking goods in/out, issue out to customer and update internal systems
  • Update stock counts
  • Completing stock takes at least twice per week
  • Proactive approach to stock ordering (e.g. checking empty bins, using initiative to pre-empt and action necessary orders)
  • Liaising with engineers for missing details and non-stocked parts for further information
  • Desirable to have familiarity with inventory management


Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Basic competent IT literacy skills - professional email correspondence and use of MS Office for data entry - able to adapt to ERP systems on-site
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with customers/engineers on site
  • Able to show initiative and be willing and proactive in duties
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Stores/Warehouse experience advantageous but not essential
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain principles beneficial
