Pay: 220 Per Day Umbrella

Are you dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for a passionate EHC Plan Writer to join our team and help ensure that all children and young people with SEND receive the tailored support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and update high-quality EHC plans in collaboration with parents, young people, schools, and other services.
  • Ensure all assessments, reviews, and amendments are completed within statutory timeframes.
  • Support parents and young people through the EHC process, ensuring they are fully informed and empowered.
  • Liaise with educational providers to secure suitable placements for children and young people with SEND.
  • Prepare cases for Tribunal, attend mediation meetings, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records for an individual caseload and provide reports for effective budget monitoring.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure smooth transitions for young people moving into adulthood.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law, and policy changes in SEND.

What We're Looking For:

  • A personal commitment to the welfare of children and young people with SEND, and to treating all service users and colleagues with fairness and respect.
  • Experience in working with SEND or in a similar role, ideally with a focus on EHC plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex and sometimes sensitive information to parents and professionals.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to manage a busy caseload effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and agencies.
