Our client is a social housing provider with a real focus on developing good quality affordable housing. We are currently working with them on a Interim opportunity (2-3 Months) for a Scheme Manager.

The ideal candidates will have housing experience and may have experience working with in independant living schemes with specific focus on retirement.

A few duties will include:

  • Support development of systems, procedures and structures of the accommodation service
  • To welcome new residents and carry out a formal induction to the scheme ensuring that they are aware of the communal facilities available and they understand scheme processes such as how the lifeline works and what to do in an emergency
  • To carry out an annual support plan with each resident which includes a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) and any other support and assistance required for the resident to live positively and independently in their home, including information for general evacuation for visitors to ensure they are familiar with fire safety requirements of the building
  • Establish, maintain, and review resident’s records to include doctors, next of kin, social workers and other persons involved on a regular basis. Ensure that information is passed to the appropriate monitoring service and head office (always following GDPR requirements)
  • To liaise with residents to assess needs and when necessary (with the agreement of the resident) refer to or liaise with other external agencies such as doctors, social services, and their family, offering appropriate practical advice and support without undermining their independence
  • To establish links with statutory and voluntary services to maximise support available to residents, and to ensure appropriate services are received and in liaison with the RFWIIRFWI make sure that the uptake of benefit is maximised
  • Ensure that regular contact is made with residents as agreed in their support plan and liaise on any packages of care, telecare and support services that have been arranged on their behalf through various external agencies
  • To ensure that all relevant documentation /records of events and occurrences are recorded accurately / timely and in the correct manner
