ELSA Specialist

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) to work part time (1 day per week) at an exceptional secondary school in Hull. The day per week can be flexible to work around the needs of the successful candidate. Working hours for this role will be 8:30 - 3:30PM, and payment will be between £100 and £130 per day depending on the experience of the successful candidate. This is a temporary role, starting ASAP and lasting until the end of the academic year.

This role will involve assisting Literacy from an emotional standpoint, and will be using your expertise and skills to help students towards a target, while ensuring that they are supported from an emotional and wellbeing standpoint. You will be working specifically with students who require support, and will be focusing on building lasting relationships with students and helping them through their time of need.

The School is based in Hull and is easily accessible in most areas of Hull via public transport, and has a large onsite car park that is free to use for all staff members. It is part of a small, local academy trust that has a great reputation within the local area. Success in this role may lead to other opportunities within the Trust.

  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Has experience supporting within UK schools
  • Has experience as an ELSA specialist
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
