An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Duty & Assessment team at Hull City Council. This is a temporary role for three months initially to work within a welcoming and friendly team who are eager to attract an experienced Social Worker. You will benefit from a competitive hourly rate whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment. As a valued member of the team you will be responsible for the assessment, support planning and reviewing of complex needs, whilst providing advice to service users and their carers. Additionally, you will strive to promote the principles of choice and control, and self-directed support to ensure that service users can assess and manage their own needs, risks and uncertainties within their chosen living environment. You will liaise and negotiate with local providers and support networks to deliver better outcomes and contribute to practice development. You must hold a recognised social work qualification and you must be registered with SWE. Additionally, you will have at least three years post qualifying experience with evidence to support your ability to undertake social work with children. Experience working as part of a busy team and experience of negotiating with representatives of partner agencies to achieve objects is essential.
