GSL Education are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team at a supportive school in Hull. This school is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all students, especially those with special educational needs (SEN), can thrive.

Key Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students with special educational needs in their learning.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lesson plans and activities.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with their specific needs.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

As the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant, you should have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to different student needs.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
