As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will…
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of SEN needs (such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties)
- Assist teachers with planning, organising, and implementing lessons tailored to individual needs
- Foster a supportive and positive environment, encouraging students' confidence, social skills, and engagement
- Help monitor and assess student progress, reporting back to the teacher or SEN coordinator
- Support students' emotional and social development, addressing any behavioural challenges as they arise
- Assist with classroom activities and practical tasks, ensuring a safe and inclusive setting
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience
- A passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them thrive in their education
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student needs
- Flexibility to work varying hours and adapt to different classroom settings
- Relevant qualifications in SEN or Teaching Assistant and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
