Transport Planner
Office based role
Location: Hull
Salary: up to 35k (dependant on experience)
Hours: Mon-Fri

Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a global leading company who are looking for a Transport Planner to work in their Hull office.

The role:

  • To be the main contact person for Drivers and Hauliers
  • Planning all operational activities on time and in the most cost-effective manner
  • Dealing with day to day logistics challenges
  • Providing creative, cost effective, transport solutions
  • Dealing with customers in a professional manner and problem solving
  • Arranging deliveries
  • Dealing with any problems that may arise

You will need:

  • Minimum of two years road haulage planning experience is essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
  • Understands and demonstrates a safety culture
  • A high sense of responsibility, to achieve operational excellence
  • Communicates clearly with Drivers and colleagues in the office
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
  • Able to plan and organise work in a structured way whilst being able to adapt to ever changing scenarios
  • Strong team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to problem solve and be creative in finding solutions
  • Fast and accurate IT skills
