Tutor
Location: Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: Depends on hours and experience.
Contract: Part Time / Full-time

GSL Education help support 1:1 and small group tutoring to children and young people either at the school or a designated address. We are looking to appoint a number of tutors in Hull and across the East Riding of Yorkshire, in areas such as Bridlington, Driffield, Goole, Willerby, Beverely and Hessle.

As a Tutor with GSL Education, you should:

  • Be a qualified Teacher with a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or other training programme.
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience.
  • Be a creative educator with patience and resilience.
  • Have a genuine passion and desire to help children and young people with to achieve their full potential.
  • Be knowledgeable about different special educational needs and how they affect children’s learning.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be able to provide relevant references that cover the last 2 years of employment, including your current/most recent employer.

As a Tutor with GSL Education, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 tuition to children or young people.
  • Plan and deliver engaging tuition sessions, centred around Maths and English.
  • Help to bridge gaps in learning levels.
  • Build and maintain appropriate relationships and rapport with the students you are supporting.
  • Encourage independent learning where appropriate.
