HGV Service Advisor

Our client, the largest privately owned well known brand truck dealership in the UK, is seeking for a HGV Service Advisor to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be providing a courteous and efficient reception service ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. You will be responsible for R2C, truck service scheduling, MOT bookings in line with manufacturer’s guidelines and recommendations.

Role: HGV Service Advisor

Hours: Shift pattern: Week 1 06:00 - 14:30, Week 2 08:00 - 16:30, Week 3 10:00 -18:30                                    and 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis 06:30 - 15:00

Location: Hull

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers bringing in HGVs for service or repairs.
  • Answer customer queries regarding service status, vehicle issues, and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide estimates for repair or service costs, timelines, and any additional work needed.
  • Schedule vehicle service appointments based on customer availability and workshop capacity.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a similar environment with excellent customer skills
  • Good experience of a service industry dealing with customers via various methods
  • Knowledge of working with database
  • Excellent time management, organisational and IT skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount
  • Technical background desirable
