Our client is an industry leader in their field and we are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair ofHeavyGoodsVehicles & Light Commercial Vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
  • Assemble and fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively whileadhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads as required during repairs (heavy lifting).
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
  • Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems relevant to HGVs isadvantageous.
