Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Container Operations Coordinator.   About the Role:This role will involve working closely with the Logistics Manager, maintaining clear communication and building relationships with external customers, suppliers, container shipping lines/forwarders and internal teams, upholding the values of the business at all times.As the Container Operations Coordinator, your role would include:
  • Plan the loading and shipment of products in line with customer requirements
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth processes and timely deliveries
  • Ensure shipments are compliant to minimise risks for the organisation
  • Assist with claims with shipping lines and Cargo insurers as and when required.
  • Ensure maximum margin is achieved on every shipment and maximum satisfaction is provided.
  • Produce accurate and timely forecasting information for all interested stakeholders.
  • Monitor and handle any issues that arise in the course of shipment up until collection and return of the container by Customer.
  • Seek opportunities to reduce logistics costs and enhance performance and service levels.
About you:The successful Container Operations Coordinator will have the following attributes:
  • 5+ years of experience of Container Logistics or other related international shipping management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple work loads with acute planning skill and working to deadlines
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of Shipping documentation
