Description

  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll on a regular schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) for all employees, ensuring that wages, bonuses, and deductions are calculated accurately.

  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Enter and maintain accurate employee data in payroll systems, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefit deductions.

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculations of tax withholdings (federal, state, and local), and timely submission of payroll tax filings and payments.

  • Deductions and Benefits: Process and manage employee deductions, including health insurance, retirement contributions, garnishments, and other benefits.

  • Recordkeeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports related to payroll data, including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and benefits.

  • Audit and Reconciliation: Review and reconcile payroll reports, ensuring any discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

  • Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues or concerns related to pay, deductions, or benefits.

  • Compliance: Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure the company's payroll practices remain compliant.

  • Year-End Reporting: Assist with preparation of year-end reports such as W-2 forms, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Profile

  • ducation: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred).

  • Experience: Previous experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar).

  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Certifications: Payroll certification (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)) is a plus but not required.
