We are seeking a Goods In/Out & Production Operative to join our successful and expanding Manufacturing and Engineering company. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on and enjoys a dynamic work environment. The position involves a variety of tasks including pick and packing, stock control, and quality checking, making it perfect for individuals who thrive in versatile roles.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handling goods in and out, ensuring efficient processing and storage.
  • Operating forklifts, specifically Counterbalance, to manage materials and products.
  • Managing delivery notes and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Examining drawings and dimensions to ensure specifications are met.
  • Conducting stock control to maintain inventory levels and ensure availability of materials.
  • Performing quality checks on products to ensure high standards are met.
  • Conducting damage checks to prevent and address any issues.
  • Operating and working with various machinery in a production setting.
  • Assisting in other departments as needed to support overall operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Forklift experience, specifically Counterbalance, is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical drawings and dimensions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to assist in various tasks as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols.
