We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team on a temp to perm basis. This role is based in Hungerford and offers a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of goods and materials.
- Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles such as trucks.
- Check that loads are secure and perform minor maintenance tasks on forklifts.
- Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
- Check equipment for damage and report any faults or incidents.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver.
- Valid forklift driving certification.
- Good understanding of modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Excellent coordination and organisational skills.
