Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Multi-skilled Engineer to join our client based in Hungerford.

You will be required to provide preventative maintenance experience and knowledge, to maintain, modify, install plant & machinery within a planned maintenance programme. You will provide electrical and mechanical maintenance on, mixing vessels & systems, pumps, range of filling equipment, packaging machinery and general site infrastructure.

The Role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Responsible for supporting all engineering breakdowns, diagnosing faults as soon as possible and replacement of parts.
  • Provide preventative maintenance expertise, in helping to develop a new & evolving planned maintenance programme.
  • Daily routine maintenance activities.
  • Rectifying all electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
  • Enhancing, repairing, and maintaining all the plant equipment and plant services within the manufacturing facility as per the preventative maintenance schedule and updating the maintenance log.
  • Installation and commission of new machinery and equipment projects.
  • Continuous improvement projects during planned downtime and identifying engineering solutions to maximise efficiency of the plant.
  • Requesting spares / consumables required to support the engineering activities to be undertaken.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results.
  • Ability to work alone and within a small team of engineers.

The successful Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Previous experience in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance role
  • Plant maintenance experience with exposure to pneumatic, electronic and mechanical systems
  • Positive attitude
  • Pro-active & self-started
  • Good communication skills
  • Ideally experienced in a manufacturing environment
  • Multi Skilled with good electrical skills
  • Fault finding electrical installations and machinery
  • Electrical / Mechanical engineering qualifications.
