Job Overview: As a Mechanical Technician at our hydrogen refuelling equipment manufacturing company, you will be instrumental in the assembly, maintenance, and testing of our cutting-edge refuelling systems. Working closely with our engineering team, you'll ensure the quality, efficiency, and safety of our products, contributing to the advancement of hydrogen technology and sustainable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Assembly: Precisely assemble mechanical components and subsystems of hydrogen refuelling equipment according to engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly procedures, including tube & thread as well as ferrule pipe assemblies.

Testing and Quality Control: Conduct comprehensive functional tests, performance evaluations, and quality inspections on assembled equipment to ensure strict compliance with standards and specifications, particularly in high-pressure gas systems, understanding the safety implications involved.

Troubleshooting and Repair: Expertly diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and malfunctions in refuelling equipment, executing repairs and adjustments as necessary to uphold optimal performance and safety standards.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of assembly procedures, test results, maintenance activities, and equipment performance data to ensure accurate documentation for compliance and continual improvement purposes.

Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations when working with mechanical equipment and hydrogen systems, with particular attention to pressure vessels and hazardous materials handling, fostering a culture of safety within the workplace.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • Technical certification in mechanical engineering technology or related field.
  • Prior experience as a mechanical technician in manufacturing or engineering settings, with a focus on assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills, including experience with tube & thread and ferrule pipe assemblies.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to mechanical systems, pressure systems, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime to support project deadlines and production schedules.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with ATEX regulations and experience in potentially explosive atmospheres is advantageous.
  • Preferred CompEx certification, demonstrating proficiency in hazardous area installation, maintenance, and inspection.
