Our client has an exciting opportunity to work within a small, multi-skilled team, providing laboratory and QC support working alongside a diverse range of industrial manufactured products.

The successful candidate will be an important member of the team and play an important role in keeping the lab running smoothly. The ideal person will be proactive, organised and methodical in their approach to work with a real "can do" attitude.

Roles and responsibilities

  • General laboratory organisation such as maintaining laboratory records, labelling and storing samples
  • Adhere to, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment within a lab
  • Operation and maintenance of lab equipment
  • General lab house-keeping
  • Maintaining lab tidiness and organisation
  • Work within a team following established procedures for sample testing using relevant laboratory equipment
  • Preparation of standard solutions and formulations in a wet lab environment

Qualifications / Key Skills

  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment
  • Organised and good time management
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • IT competent 
  • Minimum A level qualified to a chemistry related discipline

Desirable but not essential

  • Experience of working within a laboratory environment
  • SAGE 200 knowledge
