Accounts Senior March £35,000 - £45,000

Butler Rose are working with a respected and established firm of chartered accountants to recruit an Accounts Senior for their March office. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a variety of General Practice assignments for a range business clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Accounts preparation and tax compliance services for a range business clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies,
• Manage accounting services, VAT returns, tax computations, and payroll advice for a client portfolio. Assist clients with accounting software queries.
• Build strong client relationships, identify opportunities for additional services, and contribute to business growth.
• Prepare draft accounts, complete audit-related tasks, and process financial records.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT returns, and capital gains computations.
• Handle statutory filings, confirmation statements, and company secretarial duties.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, review work, and support professional development.
• Support partners and managers, ensure compliance, and maintain CPD training.

Personal Requirements

• Ideally ACA/ ACCA qualified or close to qualification
• A minimum 3 year's General Practice experience
• CCH experience is an advantage.
• A good working knowledge of UK GAAP
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work in a team or independently
• Be comfortable communicating to clients about their financials and business procedures when needed.
