The ONE Group are supporting this world-renowned, Cambridge based organisation, who are growing the team with experienced Consultants within the Energy and Utilities space.

The role is hybrid; your base will be in South Cambridgeshire and working within a team of world-class scientists and engineers within this specialist arm of the organisation.

The team operates primarily here in the UK, but also within the Nordics and US. There will be some travel involved.

Your clients will include some of the world's most pioneering companies, who are developing sustainable energy and negative emissions technology.

Those clients sit across Energy Transition, Water and in convergent areas such as electrification of transport. The team is increasingly replied upon to accelerate the development and implementation of Clean Energy technologies and solutions, as well as within the broader sectors of Sustainability and Circular Economy

This is what the opportunity looks like:

  • Providing advice to government policy makers on energy transition
  • Interfacing with investors and developers
  • Developing pioneering and innovative physical, digital and analytics technology solutions
  • Advising on emerging technologies, IP and roadmap strategies, competition and due diligence
  • Business and organisational transformation to achieve regulatory performance commitments
  • Leading medium to large-scale complex technical multi-disciplinary assignments
  • Growing, managing and developing a high performing team of energy transition focussed scientists and engineers
  • Active involvement in managing client relationships, managing the sales process and supporting client engagement, including Initiating, leading and winning sales
  • Producing thought-provoking marketing pieces to raise the profile of the organisation within the sector

About You:

An Experienced Principal Scientist or Engineer, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams delivering high quality technology development and advisory work

It's essential that you have in depth experience in at least one of the following and able to draw upon your deep scientific and engineering understanding:

  • Carbon Capture
  • Sustainable Fuels
  • Electrification
  • Water

Consulting and commercial experience either gained through consultancy, or through providing similar services within a large organisation

Well-networked with senior industry contacts and potential buyers across the sector
