Temporary Block Inspector

Location: Travelling between sites throughout Yorkshire - mainly Leeds & York

37 Hours per week, (8:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday).

Must have driving license and use of own car (business insurance), we will pay mileage.

Knowledge:

  • Carrying out fire alarms check, smoke vent checks, legionella checks
  • Site safety checks

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out inspections of blocks within our communal shared areas. Identify and resolve problems to ensure that health & safety legislation and local requirements are met.
  • Carry out weekly, 4 weekly, 6 monthly and 12 monthly safety checks including but not limited to testing fire alarms, smoke vents, emergency lights and legionella and ensuring all corridors are clear from fire risks.
  • Responsible for ensuring that health & safety inspections and checks are carried out on our Estates and communal areas (block inspections) using a handheld device as designated and reporting repairs to the relevant teams.
  • Identify and report abandoned vehicles, incidents of crime nuisance, and acts of vandalism
