We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our team on a part time bases (20 hours per week) in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire on a fixed-term contract until the 5th December 2025!

About the role:
As a Facilities Maintenance Officer, you will be the backbone of our operations, delivering high-quality administrative support that ensures our Trust facilities are well-maintained and compliant. You will work closely with Trust managers and employees, facilitating smooth operations and providing the essential support that allows our teams to focus on what they do best. In this role you will be required to work 20 hours per week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Operations Supervisor in providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
- Serve as a vital point of contact for site teams, understanding their maintenance needs and coordinating schedules to facilitate timely work.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure that services meet the expectations of the Papworth Trust teams.
- Document and track maintenance requests and resolutions to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support in compliance checks and maintain records as required by facilities maintenance processes and policies.
- Assist in implementing new processes and approaches to improve overall efficiency in facilities management.
About you:
You should be a proactive administrator who possesses strong customer service and administrative skills, effective communication abilities, and excellent planning and organisational capabilities to manage multiple site requests. A confident demeanour with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely is essential. You should be eager to learn new processes with meticulous attention to detail and be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office, while also being open to adapting to our Trust systems with the training provided.
