Top 3 Skills Required:

  1. Highways Experience: Preferably focused on roads; however, broader highways experience is acceptable.
  2. Electrical Expertise: Experience in streetlighting, CCTV, or motorway communications is highly desirable.
  3. Technical Construction Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and the ability to interpret designs and raise technical queries.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Review & Queries: Analyse designs and liaise with design teams to raise and resolve technical queries.
  • Site Records: Ensure the team maintains accurate and detailed records of all on-site activities.
  • Plant & Material Management: Manage requisitions for plant and materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Quality Assurance: Capture, store, and maintain quality records and promptly address any non-conformance records (NCRs).
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Educational Background:
    • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Alternatively, an HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training in engineering.
  • Professional Development: Working towards or holding a Professional Industry Qualification.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management (e.g., SMSTS certification).
    • Possession of a valid CSCS Card.
  • Licencing: Full UK driving licence is mandatory.
