Top 3 Skills Required:
- Highways Experience: Preferably focused on roads; however, broader highways experience is acceptable.
- Electrical Expertise: Experience in streetlighting, CCTV, or motorway communications is highly desirable.
- Technical Construction Knowledge: Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and the ability to interpret designs and raise technical queries.
- Design Review & Queries: Analyse designs and liaise with design teams to raise and resolve technical queries.
- Site Records: Ensure the team maintains accurate and detailed records of all on-site activities.
- Plant & Material Management: Manage requisitions for plant and materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Quality Assurance: Capture, store, and maintain quality records and promptly address any non-conformance records (NCRs).
- Educational Background:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Alternatively, an HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training in engineering.
- Professional Development: Working towards or holding a Professional Industry Qualification.
- Health & Safety:
- Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management (e.g., SMSTS certification).
- Possession of a valid CSCS Card.
- Licencing: Full UK driving licence is mandatory.
