Our client manufactures and sells all components for metal roofing and cladding including roof and wall profiles, standard and bespoke flashings architectural fabrications, gutters, louvres, structural sections and all the necessary accessories.

They are currently looking to recruit a Guillotine Operative to join their busy team immediately. This will be on an ongoing basis at their premises in St. Ives.

Full training is given but you must be able to pick things up very quickly and be able to work using your own initiative whether individually or as part of a team.

Duties to include:

  • Selecting metal sheets from racking, input cutting sizes onto the machine and feed the machine with the metal sheet ensuring required size is cut as per clients requirements.
  • Other material Handling
  • Basic Sheet metal work
  • Folding metal on machines (training given) & sheet metal hole punching (training to be given)
  • General maintenance
  • Maintaining, cleaning & keeping tidy, safe workspace and environment
  • Adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Any other reasonable request by relevant Supervisor

Candidate requirements:

  • Be available immediately to start with no notice period.
  • Physically fit
  • Have a flexible adaptable attitude and be willing to get stuck in with any task.
  • Willing to work in a pair and therefore have good communication skills.
  • Brake press experience would be advantageous but not essential as training given.
  • You must have your own Steel Toe Capped Safety Boots to be considered to work here.

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
