We are delighted to partner with a leading educational institution in Cambridge to recruit an experienced Internal Quality Assessor for their Engineering Work Based Learning (WBL) programs. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance in all aspects of learner journeys.

This role does allow for some working from home but will require collaborative work at the Cambridge or Huntingdon Campus.

Location: Huntingdon

Salary: £31,569 - £33,430 per annum pro-rata

Job Type: Permanent, Part-time, 22 hours per week

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Quality Assurance: Lead and implement internal quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with college policies and awarding body standards.
  • Curriculum Development: Support continuous improvement and curriculum development for work-based programs.
  • Training and Assessment: Manage and mentor a caseload of Trainer Assessors, ensuring high-quality provision and adherence to best practices.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Work Based Learning Manager, Head of Department, employers, and learners to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, manage learner sign-up processes, and ensure all documentation is completed efficiently.
  • External Quality Assurance: Plan and execute external quality assurance visits and End Point Assessments for apprentices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 relevant vocational qualification, Level 3 TAQA or equivalent, and Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification.
  • Experience: Significant experience in training, assessing, and internal quality assurance within a further education or training environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Ability to work flexibly and independently.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Advanced Qualifications: Leadership and management qualifications, Level 4 Leading Internal Quality Assurance Qualification.
  • Experience with e-Portfolios: Familiarity with e-Portfolios and managing a caseload of work-based students.
